男主角有一个温馨美好的家庭，在乡村的别墅，有着他美丽的妻子和可爱的孩子。丈夫因为公事小别妻子来到巴黎，顿时被夜色巴黎下的风尘女子所吸引。70年代的巴黎，即使是色情场所都充满着浓浓的法国式的优雅，在一座欧式的公寓内，众多风韵各异的女子优雅地在座位上吸着烟品着红酒，或者透着窗对着路上的行人秋波暗送。男主角被一位风尘女子所吸引，不惜一掷千金买得春宵一刻，或许因为好奇或许也因为离开家寂寞的孤身一人，虽然看不出这个娼妓与他妻子有何相似之处，男主角却倾情与此。渐渐地，原本脑子里只存在金钱交易的娼妓也似乎对男主角产生了感情。最后，男主角因为儿子的溺水身亡以及妻子的自杀而精神崩溃，最终饮弹而亡，而娼妓依旧维持着肉体交易的本职工作。

好像一切都很糟糕
Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
