Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　经历了上一集的风风雨雨，艾利克斯（林子祥 饰）和朱丽娥（郑裕玲 饰）总算是两情相悦走到了一起。他们决定在新年之后携手步入婚礼的殿堂，然而，在此节骨眼上，艾利克斯被公司紧急召唤加班，两人本来温馨愉快的假期生活泡了汤。　　乔伊（张曼玉 饰）是艾利克斯的同事，两人双双被派往巴黎出差。爱人不在身边，这让朱丽娥感到十分没有安全感，再加上表哥（许绍雄 饰）的挑拨离间听风就是雨，心态爆炸的朱丽娥决定也前往巴黎，看好自己的未婚夫。一连串的误会让朱丽娥和乔伊之间的关系跌破了冰点，她和艾利克斯的感情也因此产生了裂痕。

 1985年，浓雾笼罩的郊外，周日早晨少女丽莎·约翰逊（阿比盖尔·布蕾斯琳 Abigail Breslin 饰）被弟弟罗比（Peter DaCunha 饰）吵醒。她颇感烦恼地起床，按照妈妈（米歇尔·诺尔顿 Michelle Nolden 饰）的指示洗衣服，爸爸布鲁斯（彼德·奥德博拉治 Peter Outerbridge 饰）则在地下室修着汽车。看似平凡无奇的普通人家，却弥漫着诡异神秘的气息。不知曾几何时，丽莎发现每天重复着同样的内容，家人反复干着同样的事、说着同样的话、度过同一个浓雾笼罩的周末。她尝试改变这一切，然而无从下手，此外更有带着死神气息的男子警告丽莎不要破坏当前的一切。无法忍受折磨的丽莎，不可避免落入过去、现在和未来的夹缝中，局势完全失控……
