　　侵华战争时期，日本人将掠得的北京猿人头骨偷运回国，途中沉没，成为一桩疑案。当年日本人将头骨化石偷运回国，隐藏几十年后，在和平环境下重新进行研究。他们将头骨化石中的DNA残片提取出来，进行培育，然后送入太空，据说这样便可以凭借太空中的粒子幅射，使其蕴育成熟。不料，载着北京猿人胚胎的飞船失事，坠入海岛，而北京猿人却成功地诞生了。　　而王祖贤扮演的中国美丽女间谍的使命就是将北京猿人偷运回国，从此便和日本科学家展开了明争暗斗。最后，双方不分输赢，而是达成了共识：北京猿人不是任何一国的财富，他们属于大自然。于是，猿人一家三口和一只同样由基因技术复制出来的猛玛象被放归了自然。

　　After a mysterious accident at a research camp on the Isle of Gran Manan, a CEO hires a team of blue-collar mercenaries to extract his daughter, a scientist working at the camp. Upon arrival, the team soon learns that not only is the island surrounded by a wormhole that causes time to reset every three days, but it's also crawling with hideous monsters. As they learn more about the nature of time, space, and the creatures on the island, they quickly realize that death may be the easiest way to escape the island.

　　After watching their best friend get murdered, a group of teens struggle to expose a local hero as the vicious killer and keep from becoming his next victims.

　　Jack（马克·杜普拉斯 Mark Duplass 饰）因为弟弟Tom的去世已经消沉很长一段时间了，他的好朋友，也是Tom的前女友Iris（艾米莉·布朗特 Emily Blunt 饰）劝他骑着单车到她父亲在一座小岛上的屋子里去思考人生。来到屋子的Jack却意外发现了Ir is的姐姐Hanna（罗丝玛丽·德薇特 Rosemarie DeWitt 饰）也在。两人喝了酒，相谈甚欢,情不自禁地发生了关系。第二天，因为工作调整而放假的Iris也来到了这屋子里。三个各怀心事的人将上演怎样一出喜剧？
