蒂凡尼（陈嘉桓 饰）正在攻读副学士的学位，却遭遇了经济危机，囊中羞涩的她无奈之下选择靠援助交际来赚钱，对于自己的选择，蒂凡尼并没有太多的顾虑，只是初次交易后心中那种淡淡的不适始终挥之不去。随着时间的推移，蒂凡尼渐渐成为了行业内的“老手”，她的眼神变得空洞而冷漠，失去了活力。 最终，蒂凡尼决定洗手不干，然而，在经理人（朱凤娴 饰）的威逼利诱之下，蒂凡尼开始为一位特殊的客人（廖启智 饰）服务，而她和这位客人之间，竟然产生了一段奇妙的感情。与此同时，蒂凡尼结识了名为雷克斯（周柏豪 饰）的单纯青年，两人之间的距离越来越近，当蒂凡尼决定抛弃灰暗的过去开启新生活之时，才发现过去并不会轻易的过去。©豆瓣

But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present. Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
